North East

Neil Bennett is the Regional Manager for the North East.

Neil joined Capacitybuilders from Yorkshire and Humber Government office, where he had been on secondment from a Council of Voluntary Service, to co-ordinate the ChangeUp Programme for the region.

Neil had been Chief Officer at the CVS for 16 years.

Prior to that, he worked in a community development project in Birmingham and a centre for unwaged people in the South East.

Regional stakeholder event

Working in partnership with VONNE, Capacitybuilders hosted a Cross Consortia Celebration event on 2 February 2010.  This invite only event brought together member organisations from each of the five North East infrastructure consortia to share learning, celebrate achievements and look ahead to the policy environment over the next few years.
