On the 18 December, Julia Kaufmann stepped down from her role as Capacitybuilders Board member and Chair of the Funding Policy and Programmes Committee. 
 
Capacitybuilders' Chair Stephen Dunmore thanked Julia for her work over the years and commented; "the Board and the organisation as a whole are very grateful for the contribution that Julia had made during her time with us."

Capacitybuilders have announced details of over £1.2m of grant awards for the refurbishment of local third sector resource centres.

Office of the Third Sector and Capacitybuilders have announced details of 401 grant awards - totalling over £3.6 million - made to a range of third sector organisations, helping them to increase their resilience so that they are better able to provide vital services during the tough economic times.

These latest grant awards take the total number of organisations to have benefited from Phase Two of the Real Help for Communities Modernisation Fund to 521 with grants worth over £4.8 million in total.
