Stephen Dunmore appointed as Chair of Capacitybuilders

Stephen Dunmore, Interim ChairChris Pond has today announced that he is stepping down from his role as Chair of Capacitybuilders, due to an increase in the time commitment required by his role as Director of Financial Capability at the Financial Services Authority.

Stephen Dunmore has been appointed as the interim Chair of Capacitybuilders.

£500,000 invested in neighbourhood watch groups

The Home Office has pledged £500,000 to support this work with Neighbourhood and Home Watch groups across England and Wales. Marion Lewis, Chair of the Neighbourhood and Home Watch Network said: “This money will provide a real boost to the Neighbourhood and Home Watch network.

The report published today by Capacitybuilders shows a big increase in the demand for sector support services, with 78% of support providers reporting an increase in demand for their services over the past 12 months. Over 50% of responders said that they were coping well or very well.
