External Assessors sought for the Improving Reach programme - Application deadline now passed

10/12/2007

Capacitybuilders is looking to identify a number of external assessors for the Improving Reach programme,  to work a guaranteed number of days during February 2008.

Limited assessment period

Assessment of Improving Reach applications will be 'light tough' and we have a limited amount of time (one month) to assess them all.

Work schedule

We intend to guarantee a minimum of 12 days of assessment, plus two and half days for meetings to each appoint assessor.

On-line assessment process

All applications to the programme will be received on-line and so the assessment process will also be carried out on-line.  Assessors will, therefore, be required to provide reliable and secure internet access at their own expense for this work.

Skills and experience required

Assessors will be selected by Capacitybuilders on the basis of their experience, their availability and, if appropriate, any references taken.

Assessors will need;

  • a minimum of 3 years senior experience of grant making, including assessment, in statutory or voluntary sector
  • experience of working for a third sector organisation
  • experience of working with, or for, one or more of the priority areas of the programme (BME, faith groups, refugee and asylum seekers, rural communities)
  • experience of working unsupervised to tight deadlines.

For further information about the assessor role, please download the External Assessor brief and person specification.

Closing date

The closing date for applications has now passed.
